Taking HCG drops along with the proper diet will give you a weight loss of a pound a day and sometimes even more. Stray away from the low calorie diet, however, and you are likely to stall or gain weight and no one wants that. You must be careful to follow a good diet while taking the HCG drops. Here is a good diet plan.
Day 1 and 2
On Day 1 you will begin by taking your HCG drops taking six drops six times a day. For these two days you will be able to eat everything and anything! The more fat you eat, the better. Why? It takes 48 hours for the HCG drops to begin functioning, and during the next week this will help greatly with hunger. Consume foods that are saturated in fat such as butter soaked eggs, sausage, whipping cream, bacon, pizza, etc.
Days 3 – 21+:
Continue taking the drops for a minimum of twenty-one days. That will be a minimum of twenty-three days total when you figure in the two loading days in the beginning. At this time, you must adhere to Dr. Simeons original diet plan. Remember what was stated in the beginning about straying from the diet. Take the HCG drops every day. Hold the drops under your tongue for about fifteen to twenty seconds, and then do not eat or drink anything for twenty minutes. During this phase, weigh yourself daily each morning after you wake up and use the bathroom. So that you may get the most accurate reading for your weight, you will also want to disrobe.
Maintenance Phase:
This part of the HCG diet is just as important as days 1 – 23 were. After your final dose of HCG drops, continue with the 500-calorie diet. This is the amount of time it takes for the HCG to leave your body. Continue the maintenance protocol three to six weeks after your final dose of HCG drops. During this time, avoid all starches and sugars. Slowly begin to reintroduce vegetables, proteins and fruits that were not allowed on the 500-calorie diet. Avoid foods containing too much starch and sugar. When the first three to six weeks of maintenance have been completed, slowly begin introducing starches and sugars. During this phase, continue to monitor your weight daily to make sure you are within the 2.0 lbs. from your last weight check. If you are over this limit, you must complete a steak day.
While on the HCG diet, make sure to drink plenty of water. It is recommended by Dr. Simeons that you consume at least two liters of water each day.
Seasonings that are allowed on the HCG diet are as follows: salt, white vinegar, mustard powder, basil, thyme, pepper, apple cider vinegar, garlic, parsley, marjoram, etc. For best results, you should eat spices in their natural form. Be careful not to eat sugar, mixed vegetables or artificial sweeteners.
